Every Wednesday a learning group from the Asociation Lingua Franca and the online Learning Space Learning4 Tech (L4T) meet to improve their English skills in an elegant atmosphere, based on a simple text.
The Bruiningk Salon is dedicated to the Beginner level (CEFR A1 & A2). If you are looking for a more advanced level, please go to one of the other salons and clubs.
This salon is named after Baroness Méry von Bruiningk. She hosted a salon in St. John's Wood, London, for refugees (mostly German) of the revolutions of 1848 (the Forty-Eighters).
She was a role model for democratic movements and played a key role in educating the women of her time.
